GCSE Results 2022

Students at Kibworth Mead Academy have celebrated some of their best results ever. High performing students at Kibworth achieved an impressive number of grade nines and many subjects performed very strongly. Success stories include Laurence Niblett, who attained 13 Grade 9s and one grade 8, and Taraa-Rebecca Hayer who gained four grade 9s, eight grade 8s and two grade 7s. Shamel Panaligan was another amazing success story with six grade 9s and 6 Grade 8s. Kibworth Mead had two sets of twins taking their GCSE examinations, Grace and Molly Walker and Josh and Sam White. Between them they have accomplished 42 grades, including 17 grade 9s, 16 grade 8s, 5 grade 7s and two level 2 distinctions. New Principal Announced

We are pleased to announce that Steve Piggot has been appointed as the next Principal for Kibworth Mead Academy following a competitive field and rigorous assessment processes. He will join the school in September. Mr Piggot has over two decades of experience working within secondary education, including four years as the Principal of Fullhurst Community College, a successful secondary school in Leicester City. During his time as Principal of Fullhurst the success of the school was recognised nationally by the Department for Education and by being shortlisted for the national school of the year award. Prior to working at Fullhurst, he was a member of the senior leadership team at Guilsborough Academy in Northamptonshire. Head of School Simon Renshaw says: “Due to his leadership experience, we know Mr Piggot will make a significant contribution to our school community from the start.
